Maintenance
Periodic maintenance is needed with bamboo. Especially when it comes to what is in the ground. The rhizomes (roots) of bamboo are an amazing feature of this plant that mostly goes unnoticed until they show up where you don't want them too. So removal of excess rhizome mass is needed. Just like a lawn gets mowed, bamboo needs to be mowed too- but most importantly its roots.
